Christmas Care Package
Reserve a Care Package for you from International Students Inc. San Francisco. All international university students are encouraged to sign up below to receive a care package. We have limited numbers so reserve early.
Thanksgiving Day!
Students: Thanksgiving Holiday is a unique American national holiday and the best time of year to visit an American family in their home. The holiday dinner is always the fourth Thursday in November and quite fun and tasty! Treat yourself by letting us match you up with a family and two or more students to participate in that family's traditional dinner.
The dinner is a big meal and may include playing with children or pets or watching football on TV.
Volunteers: If you want to host a couple of students or scholars for a Thanksgiving meal, also sign up with our partners at "Bridges" here.
International Student Day!

"International Student Day" is held in San Francisco each October. Students from Stanford University to University of California Berkeley and everything in between come and is hosted by local volunteers who want to welcome you. Come join us at Crissy Field west bluff amphitheater.

WELCOME TO USA Dinner
The San Francisco International Student "Welcome to the USA" dinner is free to City College of San Francisco students. Church volunteers will provide the meal and a short program for you to relax and make local friends.
Homestay and Yosemite National Park
In June we have a spectacular weekend with local families and hike Yosemite National Park. We see north America's tallest waterfall and incredible views to take your breath away.
This trip always fills up so let me know early if you would like to go. A deposit is required to save your spot. Questions, email Calen.
A student from Taiwan wrote,
"I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed connecting with the friendly families. We ate together, they shared their house and even made me a bag lunch for Saturday Yosemite hike. This hike was something I will never forget. I’ll always remember the mist from the waterfall refreshing my mind and body as I hiked up to the top of the falls. We saw in total three huge waterfalls that day and made some good friends I would not have met otherwise. Join in on ISI activities you will be glad you did."
Culture Night
Next one is tentative for Spring of 2023. Join our Culture Night of Burma/Myanmar at the “Old Firehouse” next to First SF downtown. We will enjoy some traditional Burmese dishes and enjoy a short program with a presentation on the country of Burma. This event is for internationals by internationals and friends.
